DESCRIPTION:Prepare to be moved and inspired by Britten’s celebrated choral cry for peace\, his War Requiem. The text comes from poetry by English war poet\, Wilfrid Owen interspersed throughout the traditional latin mass for the dead. Symphonic choir\, children’s choir\, orchestra and soloists will breathe life into this remarkable work. Conducted by Leslie Dale\, Britten’s War Requiem resonates just as deeply today as it did when first performed in 1962.
